Description
This course will focus on the concept of “person-centered care” and the rights that consumers and caregivers have in direct-care relationships. You will learn about self-direction and self-determination, and how they play a part in the IHSS program.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Define "person-centered care"
- Explain clients' and caregivers' rights in direct care
- Explain the importance of confidentiality in direct care and describe how to maintain it
