Description
This is course # 2063 in IHSS Career Pathways and CalGrows. It is part of the Complex Physical Needs Pathway, which is a specialized pathway.
California has the country’s largest homeless population. People can experience homelessness due to various reasons. Homelessness is not limited to individuals of a specific age, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, etc. They may need help to find housing opportunities to move out of their current state of homelessness.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Define homelessness as experienced by people in different living situations.

Identify at-risk populations who are likely to experience homelessness.

Understand the common causes of homelessness and its impact on the vulnerable population.

Understand the Coordinated Entry as a system that connect services and housing providers with people in need.

Understand the various types of supportive housing options.
