Description
This course will cover why it's important to plan ahead for disasters. It covers best practices for preparing for a disaster, like setting up a direct deposit and creating an emergency savings fund. Having the appropriate insurance coverage and documenting valuables are also important. This course will also give you tips on how to handle your finances during and after a disaster strikes.
At the completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Make disaster plans and preparations, including establishing direct deposit and creating an emergency fund.
- Get the appropriate insurance coverage and document your valuables.
- Take advantage of mobile banking, talk with creditors, and create a budget when disaster strikes.
- Recognize scams that can cost you money after a disaster.
- Apply for disaster relief programs that may be available.
