Description
You may provide care for a consumer who requires paramedical care. These include services - like administration of eye drops or ointments, inhalers, and/or nebulizers - that require authorization and training by a medical professional before they can be provided. In this course, you will gain a basic understanding of paramedical care that may be provided to consumers you care for.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify the procedure for a consumer to receive paramedical services
- List what procedures are considered paramedical by IHSS
This is course # 2051in IHSS Career Pathways and CalGrows. It is part of the Complex Physical Needs Pathway, which is a specialized pathway. It is eligible for the Career Builder incentive from CalGrows.
