This instructor-led course introduces the basics of epilepsy and other seizure disorders so that you are better able to support consumers who have them.
Description
This class will help you understand the signs and symptoms of epilepsy and other seizure disorders, and how to support consumers to manage their condition.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Name and describe several negative social determinants of health
- Describe how these social determinants contribute to inequalities in healthcare from diagnosis and treatment
- Discuss strategies for achieving improvements in your consumer's life by taking action to reduce health inequalities whenever possible
