• Araceli Bootorabi

    Araceli Bootorabi graduated from Pacific Oak College with a major in Human Development. She has a wealth of experience working in various settings, where she has cared for some of the most vulnerable members of communities. Her roles have included Family Service Specialist, Post-Partum Doula, Pre-School Director, Child Development Coach, and Licensing Program Analyst for CCLD. Araceli is bilingual in English and Spanish.

    In her free time, she enjoys activities such as crystal shopping, meditating, visiting botanical gardens, tending to her plants, sewing, exploring farmers' markets, creating tea concoctions, and discovering new pop-ups to support small businesses.

  • Brianna Roberts

     

    Brianna was born in San Francisco, CA and was raised throughout the Bay Area! Brianna has over 5 years of experience in ABA therapy, 4 years of experience being 1st grade teacher, and over 8 years of experience care-giving for her grand-mother who had ovarian-cancer and aunt who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Brianna is currently finishing her psychology degree at Merritt College in Oakland, Ca with goals of becoming a Clinical Psychologist. Her hobbies include writing spoken word poetry, making candles, cooking and mostly anything creative and hands on. Brianna's energy is infectious. She is your number 1 fan and loves to encourage you to be the best that you can be.

  • Chad Cornwell

    Chad Cornwell has almost two decades working in various healthcare settings from Emergency Services to Gynecologic Oncology.  He has served as a Complex Case Manager helping Patients set and meet goals and overcome barriers to care. As a devoted educator, he enjoys helping students reach their goals by making content relatable, incorporating student experiences, and providing real-world applications.

    As a lifelong learner, he maintains his LVN and California Teaching Credentials through continued education.  A graduate of Excelsior College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Chad is currently pursuing his Master of Professional Science from Unity College. 

  • Cindy Moy

    Cindy was born and raised in Myanmar before moving to the United States at the age of 9. She has also lived in Hong Kong for more than 10 years before moving back to the states with her family. Coming from a diverse background herself and having lived in various places around the world, Cindy is a strong communicator and enjoys connecting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taishanese.

    Cindy has been an instructor at HomeBridge for over 6 years. In her free time, she enjoys eating and traveling around the world, as well as hanging out with her 4-year-old Shiba Inu (Gabbie).

  • Danielle Rose

    Danielle Rose was born and raised in Jamaica before moving to the United States at the age of 12. Coming from a different culture, Danielle understands the importance of a diversity community which brings individuals together. Majoring in Psychology and with years of experience working as a case worker for the homeless population, mental health population and more, she has a kind heart for those in need. Being from the islands, she is certified as a scuba diver and enjoys all water activities. She always likes bike rides and attending music festivals. 

    Fun Fact: She tried the flying trapeze when she was 9!

  • Dorcas Maxin

    I am Dorcas Maxin. A passionate educator with more than a decade experience in Training adults. I am also a certified nursing assistant with a wealth of experience in assisting consumers with all Activities of Daily Living. 

    I love and care about people. And as caregiver, I know how challenging our job can be. Having the right knowledge and skills goes a long way in making our job easier, safer and more rewarding for both the provider and consumer.

  • Ehecatl Negrete

    Ehecatl Negrete (pronounced Eh-heh-kaht) is a Los Angeles native whose first language is Spanish. For more than a decade, he served as an educator of English at East Los Angeles College.

    After seeing families being torn apart, Ehe became a youth caregiver in the covid unit for the unaccompanied children detained at the border.

    Having developed a passion for caregiving, Ehe became a caregiver for elderly people, but he focused on the formerly homeless. Eventually, his caregiver agency (JFS Care) promoted him to a staffing coordinator.

    As an instructor, Ehe is ecstatic to merge his passion for education and caregiving.

    Some interesting facts about me are that I have three cats, I like playing video games, and I like taking public transportation.

  • Elizabeth McGuffin

    Beth McGuffin is a native of Southern California and a perpetual student with over twenty years of teaching experience. She has taught and tutored learners from kindergarteners to great-grandparents, covering various subjects, including English Language Arts, ESL, book writing, meditation, and self-care. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Learning Technology and Design, Instructional Design, a Master’s degree in Special Education, and a TESOL Certification. As a wife, mother to young adults, and caregiver to her parents, she brings her teaching and caregiving experiences together to help educate, support, and encourage the caregiving community.

  • Eva Garay

    Eva Garay was originally born in Queens, New York but raised in Los Angeles. She specializes in behavioral health and caregiving for disabled cognitively impaired children and adults. Prior work experiences have been as a charge nurse, (LVN) psychiatric nurse at a hospital, respite (home health), and experience as a provider for her son. Through her work, she educated staff and families. To provide the best care for patients/clients and consumers.

    Over the years, she developed a passion for nursing and caregiving. She enjoys teaching others when an opportunity arises at any type of healthcare job or volunteer setting. Her goal is to assist other providers and caregivers. By teaching skills, and providing support and education to facilitate a positive environment for both consumers and providers.
